we partnered with Greek visual artist Leonie Yagdjoglou, to bring you three custom colors of her Peoplakia vases.
the name Peoplakia is a combination of the English word “people” and the Greek diminutive suffix “—aki” which means “little, small”, but also “cute” and “lovable”. the series is born to tease about the lack of any meaningful communication people have these days. peoplakia talk in order to hear themselves talking. they chat about everything whilst always concealing what they really think.
this is reflected in the rich strokes, swirling around the vase, with no definitive path.
