Originally designed by our team in 1989, SOFIA was created as a breakfast nook table for a large house on Long Island.
To honor the design, we remade it use our vintage stone. Granites that have lain in our slab yard, unused due to their fall from popularity, have been reworked into SOFIA. We utilized two traditional fabricating techniques: the bullnose + the hollywood bevel to introduce curvature. The legs have the smallest lip to break up their chunkiness while the top curves around all edges.
